A new Braw website costs nothing upfront. Monthly plans start at £99 for Braw Essentials (up to 5 pages), and the most popular plan is Braw at £199 a month (up to 10 pages). Both run for 12 months.
Braw Basics looks after an existing WordPress site for £49 a month with no minimum term. Braw Growth, at £749 a month, adds monthly SEO work, two articles a month and IT support. Paying annually gets you 2 months free, and there is no VAT to add.
How long does it take to build a small business website?
Your site goes live within 7 days of us receiving your copy and images. Day one is a twenty minute chat, days two and three are design reviewed in the browser, days four to six are the build tested on phones and checked against mobile PageSpeed, and on day seven we point the domain and publish. If we miss the 7 days, your first month is free.
What is included in the monthly fee?
On the Braw plan: design and build of up to 10 pages, the domain, UK hosting, and backups and updates for as long as you subscribe. It also covers unlimited content edits, handled one at a time and usually the same working day, and urgent problems answered within 2 hours between 8am and 10pm.
Your site's uptime is monitored 24/7, and the plan also includes Google Business Profile management, business email setup, copywriting for up to 5 pages and best practice SEO. Nothing in your plan is billed by the hour.
Is Braw based in Edinburgh?
Yes. Braw is an independent web design and IT studio in Edinburgh, Scotland. Every site is designed, built and supported by Iain in Edinburgh.
We work with businesses and organisations throughout Edinburgh and across Scotland, as well as clients elsewhere in the UK and internationally.
Do you only build websites for businesses in Edinburgh?
No. We're based in Edinburgh, but we build websites for clients anywhere in the UK and internationally. Because everything can be handled by email and video call, where you're based makes no practical difference.
Who will I actually be dealing with?
Iain, who designs, builds and supports the site himself. There are no account managers, no offshore development team and no ticket numbers. Every plan has response times written into the terms, so you know when you'll hear back.
What happens to my website if I stop the subscription?
After 24 months on a plan, the website is yours. After 12 months you can buy it outright for a fixed fee. Your domain is always yours.
Whenever you leave, you get a free leaving pack: a full export of the site and a domain transfer within 5 working days.
Why does website speed matter for a small business?
Fast websites give visitors a better experience, and page experience is one of the things Google considers when ranking pages. Every Braw site launches scoring 90 or more on Google PageSpeed for mobile, measured as the median of 3 runs, and you get the report. If it falls short at launch, we fix it free.
Do you provide IT support as well as websites?
Yes. IT Care covers Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration, email security (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), backups, updates and security checks. IT Solo is £49 a month for 1 user, IT Team £129 for up to 5 users and IT Office £299 for up to 12.
Support is remote first, in office hours, with visits in Edinburgh at the hourly rate. Adding IT Care to a website plan saves about 20%, so your website and IT come from one person on one bill.
